Hi, I’m Ally. I am a poet, writer, and instructor living in Texas by way of Portland, OR. I’ve published three chapbooks, Dispersal (The Song Cave), Her Twin Was After Me (Slim Princess), and Floor Baby (dancing girl press).
Someone on the internet described my poetry as a cross between a bulldog and a demonic sixth grader and Thurston Moore once named me as a poet he reads and would like to publish. Entropy Magazine said that one of my chapbooks was a fantastic read. I am the founder of Submission, a Portland-based reading series that earned a Regional Arts & Culture Council grant.
When I am not aspiring to be the poetry court jester, I work as an Educator and Communications Specialist. I am a dweeb for recycling, civil rights, and R&B.
